Do you only use your sheet music for the lyrics? Do you want to know what all those dots and squiggles mean? Then this workshop is for you.
The workshop will introduce you to the basics of reading music, and Richard will help you understand a bit more about what the notation means. There will be lots of practical tips, and by the end of the course you will find it much easier to follow the music during rehearsals. There will also be plenty of chances to ask questions, so you can make sure you get to grips with the basics.
This very informative workshop is £20, and is led by Richard Swan.
Venue: St Mary-at-Hill church, Lovat Lane (off Eastcheap), EC3R 8EE
Time: 11am to 1pm
Richard is the founder and director of London City Voices, a huge multi-branch non-audition choir. A musician, bandleader and educator for the past 30 years, one of Richard's main areas of expertise lies in helping people who believe they have no singing ability at all to find freedom - and accuracy - in singing. He is currently writing a book and an online course aimed at exactly this demographic in the hope that many people will experience the joy that singing can bring.
