Does the idea of singing in front of people leave you in a cold sweat? Do you feel embarrassed when everyone bursts into a chorus of Happy Birthday? Were you asked to mime in the choir at school?
The vast majority of those people who think that they are tone deaf are not. Yes, believe it or not, that means you! Join experienced choir-director and teacher Richard Swan in an exploration of the influences which stop us singing. Edge towards releasing your voice in a safe, non-judgemental, supportive environment. There will be laughter (not at you!), tears (probably), silliness, and - yes - singing!
Richard is the founder and director of London City Voices, a huge multi-branch non-audition choir. A musician, bandleader and educator for the past 30 years, one of Richard's main areas of expertise lies in helping people who believe they have no singing ability at all to find freedom - and accuracy - in singing. He is currently writing a book and an online course aimed at exactly this demographic in the hope that many people will experience the joy that singing can bring.
